Property Insurance

A good property insurance policy can help protect your business facilities and products from destruction by fire and other hazards. There are two general types of policies: "named perils" and "all risk". A "named perils" policy lists the risks it will cover for your property. Usually it will protect you in the event of fire, and you can add levels of cover for loss or damage from situations like theft. An "all risk" policy names the specific property and risks that are not covered. For a business owner, this means that all physical damage to the property is covered unless the cause of the damage is specifically excluded in the policy. In other countries, including India, the "all risk" plan is also known as an "open perils" plan.
