Holiday
The amount of time you have off from work depends on whom you work for. In the U.K., employees who work five days a week are legally entitled to a minimum of 28 days paid holiday a year, although this can include the eight U.K. public and bank holidays. Some employers offer more generous holiday entitlements as part of a benefits package, and some careers, such as teaching, afford more holiday time than others. Holiday time varies around the world. For example, with the standardisation of work practices, many firms in India have adopted the five-day work week, though some still work five and a half or six days.
