M.B.A.

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a degree programme that prepares students for managerial or administrative careers. Usually, it takes one or two years of full-time study to earn an M.B.A. In the U.K., students need at least three years of work experience before applying. The cost of getting an M.B.A. is typically between £15,000 and £20,000, but course fees from a top university could be higher. In India, there are now more than a thousand institutions offering full-time M.B.A. programmes, the best of which remain the IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management). Work experience, while desirable, is not mandatory, but all applicants have to sit for an entrance exam.
