Donor-Advised Fund
This is a fund held by a community foundation or public charity in which the donor, or a committee appointed by the donor, recommends which groups or causes to support. The fund can also accept different types of assets as gifts, including property and legacy gifts. This type of fund can offer advantages for donors. You may wish to consult an adviser regarding the possible tax benefits of donating to or creating a donor-advised fund.
This is a very new concept in India; the pioneer in the field is CAF India, a public charitable trust.
