Valuation
In the U.K., a property's selling price can be determined through a valuation by either a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the National Association of Estate Agents. There will be a fee for providing a valuation. Buyers may also have a survey performed to confirm it is worth the selling price; lenders often require this step before closing.
